Playing in Paradise Challenge #7

This week's Scrapbooker's Paradise Playing in Paradise Challenge was definitely a hard one for me. The challenge was to use navy, green and pink either all together or just one. I choose to use all of the colors together. Here is my card:

Imaginisce Monthly Challenge

I have been partaking in some different layout challenges to spark some creativity and decided to play along with the Imaginisce monthly challenge. This is the sketch we had to play along with.
Here is what I came up with:

I'm very pleased with the end result. Maybe my creativity is slowly coming back....

Playing in Paradise Challenge Six

I've had crafter's block since my surgery and needed something to get my creative juices flowing again, so I decided I wanted to play in Scrapbooker's Paradise 'Playing in Paradise' challenge.

Allison set the challenge, and it could be either a card or a page layout, and since I have no pictures printed, a card it was! As I started this challenge, I was amazed at how fast my long lost creativeness came back! Here is what I came up with.

I used a scrap from Bo-Bunny's Alissa collection. For the darker pink cardstock, I embossed it with my Cuttlebug and then used a border punch for the left side. The image, a Pure Innocence stamp from MFT, was colored with my copics. I also added some diamond stickles to enhance the bubbles. The sentiment came from Inky Antic's Spa Turtle set.

Beary Cute

Things are starting to warm up around here.....I sure hope it's here to stay. Today is day 2 of having kids back after two weeks off from surgery. My sister is has been here to help me, and I really appreciate it. I truly did miss all the kids :)

I whipped up this card really quick.......nothing special.......just 'Beary Cute' ......lol

Quilting on a card....

I saw this tutorial on Splitcoaststampers and had to try it cause it looked like so much fun. Using some scraps I had, I set out to try to quilt.....it was really super easy!!!! The puffer fish stamp from Imaginisce was colored to match the colors of the 'quilt'. The picture makes it look a little off, but it does match quite nicely. I added a little bit of ribbon, and sentiment and it finished the look of nicely.

Scene Cards

We had company this weekend, so didn't get much stamping or crafting done, but I did enjoy having them here. My brother even came for a visit and stay for the weekend.

These two cards I created a while ago and just remembered that I need to share them with you. The first card uses all October Afternoon products, and I sponged the background scene with Momento Ink. I colored all the images with my copics, as well as added some tufts of grass.

The next card is another scene card using stamps from Cat's Pajamas. I colored all the images with copics, and sponged the background with Momento Ink. I also added some shadows with my copics.

Enjoy what's left of the weekend!

Raccoon For You

Well it's a nice day here, and when I say nice I mean not -30....lol

I tried my hand at the faux wood grain look with kraft cardstock, Versamark and a wood grain stamp. Then I colored the raccoon image from Imaginisce with my copic markers and cut the image out. Using my nesties I cut out the scalloped circle, sponged the background on with Momento Ink and pop-dotted the raccoon image over top. I added some doodling on the circle and a sentiment.

I decided today to share another card with you. This image is another one from Stampavie and I think it's too cute. Again I colored with my copic markers. I used pattern paper from Cosmo Cricket's Chemistry line. The sentiment is pop-dotted just over the corner of the image slightly.

Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome....

Snow....more snow.....seriously c'mon Mother Nature....

I haven't done any crafting lately, as I just haven't been feeling up to it. Trying not too move to much, as I don't want to rip open any incisions. I have to say that I have the greatest hubby in the world. He is taking very very good care of me.

The intentions of this card was not to make it monochromatic, but that's how it worked out.  I think it looks so cute! I cut out a circle with my nesties, and then sponged it with Momento Angel Pink ink. The stamps are from Michael's Studio G line and I added some white gingham ribbon and a bow for some texture.

Spring Showers

Holy moly it's another cold one out there, -33 without the windchill. We've had a bunch of snow in the last few days as well. I, for one, will be super glad when spring comes around, and the snow/ice melts away for good, and the plants start blooming. Cabin fever is also starting to set in and I'm tired of wearing socks and sweaters. Hopefully sooner than later...........right?

Well in honor of spring........that is right around the corner.......at least I hope. This cute hedgehog image is from Stampavie's Tina Wenke collection. I colored the image with my copics, and then added Diamond Glaze to the raindrops to add a little more dimension. The raindrop looking pattern paper is April Shower's from Bella BLVD's Swing into Spring collection. Also, I added some doodling dots around the scalloped circle and put all the layers together.
